Whether pressing, forming, or riveting, tensioning, positioning, or testing: numerous processes in industrial production require economical and energy-efficient linear motion at high loads. To this end, Bosch

Rexroth has expanded its EMC-HP high-power series with electric cylinders in sizes 190 and 220. These two new sizes are suitable for heavy-duty applications with axial forces up to 250 kN, delivering high

precision and dynamic response in a very compact package—available with direct drive or parallel drive via robust spur gears. An integrated sensor and display package displays lubrication recommendations

or oil temperature, depending on the version, ensuring maximum productivity. As part of the digital quick selection process, an oil bath lubrication option is now also available for continuous-load applications.

The newly added electric cylinder sizes meet the highest demands for power density, precision, and dynamic performance in battery production, wood pressing, and sheet metal forming. The EMC-HP portfolio,

with IP 54 protection and sizes 115 to 220 (outline dimensions), now more effectively addresses heavy-duty applications with strokes up to 1,500 mm.

The proven PLSA planetary screw assembly, installed in the EMC-HP, boasts a dynamic load capacity (Cdyn) of up to 473 kN. Speeds of up to 0.83 m/s are possible. The newly added electric cylinder sizes feature

robust spur gears, ensuring optimal power transmission to the screw drive system. An integrated sensor package gives the new EMC-HP additional advantages in terms of durability, maintenance, and efficiency.

An optional LED panel displays relubrication recommendations and oil bath temperature based on collected operating data.

Simplified engineering and fast and efficient commissioning

The LinSelect electronic tool allows for quick and easy selection of actuators based on various lengths and mounting options. Complete automation kits, including motors, controllers, and cables, are also

available for quick subsystem setup. A Smart Function Kit software package is available upon request for easy parameterization of motion tasks.

This pre-configured complete kit stores parameters in the motor memory, which are then accessible to the drive controller, significantly simplifying and shortening the commissioning process. Its compact

design, housed in a lightweight aluminum housing, and a single-cable solution suitable for most drive requirements ensure easy integration and fast installation.
